Charlie has over a decade of experience writing and producing commercials for big global brands like Samsung, McDonalds & KIA, and some of Australia’s home soil staples like NRMA & Commbank.
After starting her career as a creative in some of London’s top agencies: iris Worldwide, Ogilvy’s BlueHive and Adam&EveDDB, she moved to Sydney, like every sun loving Brit, and tried her hand writing scripts and punchy headlines for Aussies. Alongside navigating the social norms of a new city, she volunteered as an Award School tutor encouraging the next gen of creatives to do the opposite.
After a few years at Innocean and The Monkeys (now Droga5), she side-stepped and decided to take the plunge production side. Season two of Charlie’s career started with a short phone call and leap of faith from the guys at Scoundrel Films. She spent five formative years there, learning the ropes, working alongside celebrated global directors and producing award winning work.
She believes her experience on the creative floor has given her a valuable perspective when producing, and she’s having the most fun when spit balling ideas with directors and problem solving with the crew.
She likes that production keeps her creative side engaged whilst leveraging her natural strengths in organisation and problem-solving. Clear communication, collaboration and a calm, pragmatic approach is how she rolls.
Charlie has produced commercials for global brands like Samsung, Apple, McDonalds, KIA, Tetley and Nutella and for local brands like Furphy, NRMA and Commbank.
She has also produced for Studio Dive, a James Dive company which aims to create art and immersive projects.
